Thank You

A Word of Thanks to:

These people have gone beyond the call of just taking up space and using up oxygen. This is for the people who helped me in the struggles of life. Some have inspired me by their words or by the example they gave in day to day life. Others offered me a hand when life had me up shit creek without a paddle. Lastly one special thank you to a person whom while she hurt me, also taught me much about myself.

I'd like to thank Joan and Karen Coons. Joan Coons is the owner of Lenny's Tire Service in Middleburg, New York. Karen Coons is the daughter of Joan and manages the shop for her mom.  Without these two I would have been homeless during my last months in New York. After a domestic incident I had to leave my girlfriend. I had no where to turn. My means was not sufficient to afford a apartment on my own. The end of the relationship was the end of my reason to stay in New York, I needed to return home to Missouri. Joan and Karen allowed me to secure my things at the shop and to stay there while I saved for the return to Missouri. During the last months Joan Coons invited me, virtually a stranger into her home as the shop had become to cold to sleep in. The kindness Joan and Karen showed me was a godsend during a dark chapter of my life. I owe these two a great debt. Thank You

I'd like to thank Joe Vancil. Joe is one of the most honest, steady and straightforward people you are likely to meet. I first met Joe as a the Sysop of the Tempest BBS in the late 80's. Through the exchange of mail and opinions I came to know a person whom if I should I ever want to emulate another, it would be him. Joe is slow to anger and generous almost to fault. You know where you stand with Joe and I am fortunate to call him a friend. Although we share few passions in life, you can tell that by the depth in which he throws himself into his activities, he will always set a high mark in that which he strives. Upon my return to Missouri Joe has offered me a place to stay while I put my life back together. Thank You

I'd like to thank Janie Thurman. Janie taught me much about myself and opened a door that without her, I would have not found. While I cannot go into this subject in this forum, Janie's influence, advice and guidance put me on a path to a better life. I wish the best for her and hope that some time in the future, we can find a way to mend a friendship strained by problems. If you read this TA, Dee and all the rest of you (yes MD, even you) you but have to ask, and if I can, I will do what I can for you. Thank You
