A Favorite Female Artist - Alanis Morissette
11/19/2006

Let's get this out of the way first, Alanis is kind of hot. Everyone has their own tastes and to some she may not be what turns the crank, but I think she's the ticket. In a era of metal studs sticking out of the faces, tattoos best covered, wacky makeup and bleach blonds or other striped hair colors she has a natural, subtle look that comes across genuine, straight up and feminine.

Her road has been a roller coaster, experimenting, learning, fighting off illness and the trauma of being robbed at gun point. She has written music for films and taken a few small on screen parts in television and movies. Her newer albums have not had the commerical sucess of her "Jagged Little Pill" album, but have good work on them.

If I were ever to meet Alanis I'm not sure what I'd say other than 'Thank You' and 'I hope to hear more of your work.' Anything more would be a little too creepy, though I could kiss her feet for the "Jagged Little Pill" album. Not since Eddie Brickell and the New Bohemians have I heard such a solid album.

Anyway, keep at it Alanis, keep working and Thank You.

Note: Stuff

It's been a while since I first created this page, but her Jagged Little Pill album stands the test of time.
