My Scooter - My Mess:

Pulling up my body pannels you get an idea of the mess ahead. Simply put, the component layout makes no sense. My first step is to decide how move around the parts locations that will shorten the wiring and fabricate a new aluminum panel to be installed. Some of this will require cutting off tabs and re-welding them, in other locations the creation of new mounting tabs.
Starting the clean up I'm cutting off two plates that had info plates. After using a small drill to remove the rivet heads a dermal with a cut off blade made short work of the light weight backing plates. Removal of these two plates will let me mount the coil closer to the cylinder head, shortening the plug wire.
